Salary Range: $50,000–$55,000/year (based on experience)

🧠 What We're Looking For

You are naturally curious and a creative thinker with a strong eye for detail and quality. You know how to create scroll-stopping content, communicate brand tone and identity, and stay five steps ahead in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

🔑 Responsibilities

Your role will be responsible for both social media management and social media content creation, including design, copy, scheduling, and strategy. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Film, execute, and post engaging video content for social platforms (Reels, TikToks, etc.)

  • Oversee daily posting and engagement on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest

  • Design branded assets and marketing graphics for social and email campaigns using Canva

  • Write clear, creative, on-brand copy for all social media content

  • Create, manage, and maintain social media calendars and campaign timelines

  • Run promotional campaigns and launch plans for client services or products

  • Analyze performance data to adjust strategies and improve campaign ROI

  • Communicate effectively with project managers and clients via Slack and Asana

  • Prepare meeting agendas and contribute to client-facing presentations

  • Stay up to date with platform trends and adapt strategies accordingly

  • Ensure all work aligns with individual client brand guidelines

  • Manage multiple client accounts with organization, attention to detail, and grace under pressure

  • Maintain company safety and conduct standards

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Social Media, Communications, Film, Journalism, or related field — or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years of professional experience in a marketing or social media role

  • Proven portfolio of social posts, reels, and graphics

  • Advanced experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, and Later

  • Proficiency in Asana, Slack, and general Google Suite tools

  • Must have reliable transportation to attend in-person office days and client shoots in the Birmingham or Southeast regional area.

  • Willingness to travel for client needs as required

💼 Salary & Perks

Pay: $50,000–$55,000/year based on experience

Fall Social Media Content Intern

Overview:

Maven Marketing & Co., a fast-growing social media marketing agency, is looking for two creative and motivated Social Media Content Interns to join our team—one in Cincinnati, OH and one in Columbia, SC. This paid internship is ideal for someone who is passionate about digital storytelling, reels, and the ever-evolving world of social media. You’ll work closely with our team to support local clients, create on-brand content, and help drive online engagement—right from where the magic happens, on site.

What You’ll Do:

  • Capture short-form video content (primarily Instagram Reels) during scheduled on-site visits with clients

  • Collaborate on creative direction, including planning shot lists and visual storytelling angles

  • Stay on top of social media trends and bring fresh ideas to client strategies

  • Assist in reviewing content performance and making recommendations for improvements

  • Support the Creative Director and social team with content scheduling and organization

  • Occasionally assist with photography, behind-the-scenes footage, or story takeovers

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Marketing, Communications, PR, or related program

  • Confident using Instagram, TikTok, and Reels editing tools

  • Experience in video filming and basic editing (Canva, CapCut, or in-app tools are a plus)

  • Reliable transportation to get to client sites in Cincinnati or Columbia

  • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and an eye for visual branding

  • Friendly, proactive communicator who is eager to learn and contribute

  • Comfortable working independently during short shoots
